Episode 114: How to budget money, how to save money, and how to become financially independent, all in one event.
In this episode of 2 Frugal Dudes, we’re telling you everything you need to know about the upcoming FI Summit. It went so great last time that we’re doing it again! Tune in for details and special offers!
We’re so excited to announce the next FI Summit, taking place October 22-24. Where? From the comfort of your own home, your favorite cafe, the open road– wherever you can find internet.
Like the previous FI Summit, there will be two speakers per day for a total of six incredible guests. This year we’re also throwing in the option to partake in the exclusive after-party online each evening for live attendees only.
Day one covers freedom and debt. Featuring Coach Carson author of Retire Early with Real Estate, and Nicole Hatcher of Frugal Chic Life.
Day two covers budgeting and investing. Featuring JL Collins, author of The Simple Path to Wealth and Jamila Souffrant of Journey To Launch.
Day three covers earning money and retiring. Featuring Grant Sabatier, creator of Millennial Money and author of Financial Freedom, and Liz Thames, author of Meet The Frugalwoods: Achieving Financial Independence Through Simple Living.
We’re offering a lot of special perks this year! In addition to the exclusive afterparties, you can also get access to the replays from last year with our all-access pass. The all-access pass also gives you the chance to skip the line and pre-submit questions to speakers.
Other perks for live attendees include:
Kevin recently refinanced his mortgage and set a goal to make extra payments to determine how much of a difference it would make. Last year, 55% of Kevin’s payments were going toward interest. This year, 56% of Kevin’s payments are going to principle. Extra payments are a great way to save a lot of money in the long run.
Sean is in the process of switching cellphone providers. The family plan is $60 with unlimited data. This will be a reduction in his current payment, but he’ll be getting a lot more value.
